Conventional Heat Pumps
Amana and Carrier both offer heat pumps that are designed for your application. Heat pumps use electricity as an energy source to heat and cool your home. The heat pump will act like an air conditioner during the warm months by removing heat from inside your home and transferring it outside. During the colder months, heat from outside your home is extracted and transferred to the interior of your home.

Furnaces
Hammond Services will professionally install a new furnace or replacement unit into your home. All of the furnaces we install run with an AFUE (annual fuel usage efficiency) up to 95%. That means that 95% of the fuel burned by your furnace is directly converted to heat that is placed into your home. High efficiency furnaces typically cost more, on initial purchase, than a low efficiency furnace. However, a high efficiency furnace will cost less to operate on a month-to-month basis. Therefore, in the long run a high efficiency furnace tends to pay for itself with energy savings. Thermostats
The choice of thermostats for Hammond Services is the Dico brand. Dico’s come with a lifetime warranty and come in several different configurations. Non-programmable, programmable and touch screen are several options you have to choose from. A thermostat is a temperature sensitive switch that controls the operation of the equipment to maintain the temperature setting on the thermostat.

Air filter technology has moved forward to create a living condition that suits the needs of just about anyone. Typically, central air purification uses a 1” pleated filter that is replaced every 30 days.
